Residents are invited to attend the Mayor of Charnwood’s Community Carol Service.
The event will take place on Monday December 20, 2021 at 7pm at All Saints with Holy Trinity Church, Loughborough.
Tickets to attend the service are free and are available online here: https://bit.ly/MayorCarols21, or by emailing email@example.com or calling 01509 217029.
There will be a retiring collection in aid of the Mayor’s chosen charities Living Without Abuse and Marie Curie and towards the upkeep of Loughborough’s historic parish church.
Charnwood Symphonic Wind Orchestra will play before and after the service and will accompany the carols being performed by the choir from the Leicester LGBT Centre.
Cllr Paul Baines, the Mayor of Charnwood, said: “We are really looking forward to the annual community carol service and we are hoping to get everyone in the festive mood with the service.
“I would like to wish everyone in Charnwood a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
Rev Wendy Dalrymple, Rector of All Saints with Holy Trinity in Loughborough, said: “This service forms a really special part of Loughborough’s Christmas celebrations and I’m grateful to all those who participate. We warmly welcome people of all faiths and none to join us as we mark this important festival in the life of the Christian community.”
Capacity is being limited at the church due to the pandemic, with all performers and those leading the service taking lateral flow tests prior to the event.
People going to the carol service are being encouraged to take a lateral flow test before attending and not attend if they are displaying Covid type symptoms.
Attendees are also encouraged to wear face coverings throughout the service and to make use of the hand sanitiser available on entering the building.
The service will be live-streamed to YouTube for those wishing to watch the service at home. Search All Saints Church Loughborough on YouTube.
Attendance is by ticket only and will be available on a first come first served basis.
