Notice of Interim Review of Polling Districts, Polling Places and Polling Stations

Notice is hereby given that the Council is conducting an interim review of the polling districts, polling places and polling stations that fall within its boundaries. Our local review follows on from the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) review of the electoral wards of Charnwood. Recommendations from the LGBCE regarding the Charnwood boundary review can be found at Local Government Boundary Commission for England Consultation Portal (lgbce.org.uk).

The Returning Officer will comment on the existing arrangements and any proposed changes to polling districts, polling places and polling stations.

Anyone having an interest in this review is encouraged to submit comments and, where applicable, alternative proposals. The Council welcomes views from all residents and organisations in the Borough. The Council particularly welcomes views regarding accessibility for disabled voters, in particular from bodies or persons with experience or expertise on these issues.

Representations can be made by email to electoral.services@charnwood.gov.uk or by post to: Electoral Services, Charnwood Borough Council, Southfield Road, Loughborough, LE11 2TX. Representations should be made no later than Monday 3rd October 2022.
