Briefing to be held for prospective candidates in Charnwood elections
A session is being held to brief people who are considering standing in the Charnwood Borough Council elections in May.

Anyone considering becoming a candidate is invited to attend the session, which is being held on Monday, March 6 at Loughborough Town Hall. Candidates’ agents are also welcome to attend.

The session will begin at 6pm in the Victoria Room and will cover an overview of the nomination process and election arrangements.

Nomination packs will also be available to candidates and agents attending the briefing session.

Rob Mitchell, Returning Officer, said: “This will be an informative session about the key steps in the electoral process and will offer the opportunity for potential candidates to speak to officers and ask any questions they may have.”

Potential candidates and agents are required to confirm their attendance prior to the session via an online survey which can be found here: www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/nominationpacks23/

Anyone attending the briefing is being asked to arrive promptly ahead of the 6pm start time. The session will last for approximately an hour and a half.
